Student led Teaching Awards

March 23, 2015

What are Student led teaching Awards?

These awards allow students to nominate USW staff/students who have made a real difference to their learning and development. They have been running for three years and allow students to recognise innovative and inspiring teaching practices.

Who is organising the awards?

USW Students are working with the Students’ Union and the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching to organise and deliver the awards.
The nominations remain anonymous. The Students’ Union will go through them and shortlist the best ones and the winners will be determined by a judging panel comprising of students and Union staff. The pre-selection is based on the quality of the nominations, not the quantity!

Who can be nominated for an award?

Any member of staff/any student who you feel has made a real difference to your learning/experience at USW can be nominated:
Who brings your subject to life?
Whose teaching always makes you want to learn more?
Who listens when you need to ask that ‘obvious’ question?
Who makes you feel valued as a learner?
Who gave you that really helpful feedback that helped you to move on?
Who helps to keep your project or dissertation on track?
